1st assignment: COLORED PENCIL LANDSCAPE

The videos will take about a half hour to watch. Please find an outdoor scene you like and make a sketch in pencil of shapes and values (lights and darks). Take a photograph of the scene. You may work on your colored pencil drawing outside or inside from the photograph you have taken. Be sure to bring your photograph and 1st sketch along with your finished colored pencil drawing on the due date. Do not use blenders on this assignment. Be sure to read the rubrics before starting. 70 points possible. This should take about 3-6 hours.

2nd assignment: ABSTRACT DESIGN USING AT LEAST ONE SQUARE, ONE TRIANGLE, ONE CIRCLE
This is to be created on the 5 1/4 inch square cardboard provided. You may use marker, sharpies, and watercolor or media of your choice. Be sure to keep it completely abstract and remember your elements and principles of design in creating your square. Check the rubric. 40 points possible. This should take 2-3 hours.
